My new hero, Tokkutai

Hi all! I wanted to take a minute to plug a blog I've just discovered. It's really blown me away, I still haven't picked my jaw up from the floor.

His handle is Tokkutai. So far he's focused on scratch-built and heavily converted ork models. His pcard skills are absolutely top notch, and his eye for unique bits use is simply brilliant. Take a look, you'll see what I mean.

Hi all. I had planned to post WiP updates throughout the HoA project, but illness intervened. Suffice to say the models were all finished in time, and I'm back on my feet, alive and well. Unfortunately, I had to drop the superheavy plans,  but I had no choice given the deadline constraints and time spent in the hospital instead of at the workbench. Alas...

Real Life Curveball...

No, I'm not dead. Real life has decided to throw me a ridiculous curve ball, and as such, hobby has taken a back seat to getting life sorted out. As a result, I've had to back out of combat patrol at Adepticon. I will still be going, but there was simply no way to get models painted in the weeks leading up to the event.

 So I plan to be back in the saddle roughly two weeks after Adepticon. By then I'll be in new living quarters, with ample time to devote to the hobby bench. The Fire Hawks, WAAAGH Teek, The Blindwater Congregation, and my burgeoning KoB fleet for Dystopian Wars should all start seeing new life and new paint.

Weirdboy, Power of the Waaagh!

I love the Weirdboy. I know, he's not a tourney winner by a long shot. He's dangerous, unstable, and unpredictable. As such, he is 100% pure Ork. Along with the Shokk Attack Gun, he is one of the most characterful units in the codex.

Alas, the official model is crap.

So of course I had to make my own.
